The price of the phone has been kept quite low, so now let’s see what the phone actually offers. I used the phone for a few hours and my first impressions are that the phone looks good. I got its meadow green color variant, which gives a very refreshing look. Xiaomi has recently launched many phones in blue and white shades, so its green color looks quite good. Matte finish has been given in textured black color due to which it prevents fingerprints from falling on the phone. If you are not a fan of green then you can also go with Chrome Silver and Thunder Black options.
Headphone jack
The body of the phone is completely made of plastic which is very common for phones in this price range. Keeping in mind the design trend of smartphones in 2022, Xiaomi has given it a flat frame. The rear panel is curved which makes it easy to hold the phone. The power button is given on the right side which also has a fingerprint scanner. Volume buttons are found above this. There is a single speaker at the bottom and USB Type C port is provided. One plus point is that it also has a 3.5mm headphone jack at the top for wired headphones, which is an important feature for many users. Redmi has given a dedicated microSD card slot in it which is available with dual SIM slot on the left side.

The phone weighs a little more at 200 grams and its thickness is also considerable, 8.9mm. The company also provides a silicone protective case in the box. Apart from this, a 22.5W charger and USB Type-A to USB Type-C charging cable is also available with it. However, the phone supports only 18W fast charging.
Redmi 11 Prime 5G has a 6.58 inch IPS LCD display. It has a brightness of 400 nits, which cannot be called too much but, I did not face any problem in using it indoors. The display has a waterdrop notch design at the top but the chin is slightly thick at the bottom. Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection is also provided on the screen. The phone supports 90Hz AdaptiveSync Display. This means that the screen automatically switches between 50, 60 and 90Hz, depending on the content playing on the screen.
Redmi 11 Prime 5G has MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, which is said to be a chip that provides affordable 5G experience. Xiaomi says that the phone supports seven 5G bands. That means 5G services can be used on both the SIM cards of your phone. In its full review, we will tell you about its everyday performance.

Talking about software, the phone runs on Android 12 out of the box with MIUI 13 skin on it. Xiaomi’s user interface is known for its many features but it also comes with a lot of bloatware. You can remove most third party apps. Being a budget smartphone, it cannot be expected to get many software updates in the future, but the company can surprise you by giving updates. At least we can expect to get Android 13 update in the next few months. The company has not announced any details for software support.
