New Delhi: Be it disaster or calamity, it is the government that will alert the citizens in emergency situations. Finally Disaster Information System or Disaster Alert System has been launched in India. Through this, warnings will be sent directly to citizens’ phones. The official launch of this technology took place on Saturday at 11:42 am. The first warning has been sent to the phones of millions of citizens in an experimental manner. 108 countries use technology to deliver early messages to citizens in disaster situations. However, 45 countries have the technology to deliver messages directly to mobile phones. Relying on indigenous technology, India also entered the group.
This morning, many people’s mobile phones suddenly shook. The phone rang like a siren. The message entered, ‘Extremely Severe Alerts’. Many people panicked after receiving such a ‘very serious warning’. But there is nothing to panic or worry about. Rather, the new service was launched keeping in mind the protection of citizens.

It was the Center that announced the new service by sending alerts to millions of people’s phones. India launched its own ‘Cell Broadcast’ service in indigenous technology, so that when disaster strikes, warnings are sent directly to citizens. If the citizens of the country are careful, the country will be safe. No one has to do anything after receiving this warning. The warning has been sent experimentally.

In case of natural calamities or war situations, warnings will reach citizens through this technology in emergency situations. The Central Government’s Department of Telecommunications has said that the road to maintain direct communication with citizens in emergency situations has been strengthened. Center is launching state-of-the-art public awareness system in coordination with central agencies.
Union Telecommunication Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia inaugurated the service on May 2, which is centered on a platform called SACHET, which develops an integrated warning system, an official statement by the central government said. This service is based on the International Telecommunication Union approved warning system. 36 states and union territories of the country have been covered under this service.
