iPhone 14 Pro
Price of iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max in India
As a result of the strength of the US dollar, Apple’s new Pro phones are more expensive in India than their earlier models. Whereas in America there has not been much difference in their prices. iPhone 14 Pro The price starts from Rs 1 lakh 29 thousand 900 for the 128GB variant. iPhone 14 Pro with 256GB variant comes for Rs 1 lakh 39 thousand 900. The 512GB variant comes at Rs 1 lakh 59 thousand 900 and the 1TB variant comes at Rs 1 lakh 79 thousand 900. larger models iPhone 14 Pro Max If we move towards , its price is 10 thousand rupees more at every level. Thus, the price of 128GB, 256GB, 512 GB and 1TB variants of iPhone 14 Pro Max is Rs 1,39,900, Rs 1,49,900, Rs 1,69,900 and Rs 1,89,900 respectively.
It is still not clear why the difference between the prices of iPhone and iPhone Pro is so much in India compared to other markets. Apple should use the same multiplier for its products, but it does not.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have been officially discontinued, but they should be available at discounted prices from third-party retailers for some time.

iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max “Dynamic Island”
So, the rumors till now about Apple iPhone 14 series have proved to be correct. But whatever was revealed was only a small part of the whole story. This is a reminder that we should not get fixated on anything just based on leaks. Also, here we can see how technology can surprise us. I think Apple would be thrilled to know how it can surprise people. And as a spokesperson said, it’s Apple’s dedication to designing the hardware and software that makes things like this possible.
In many leaks and renders that came in the last few months, it became clear that Apple is now going to switch to a pill and hole camera cutout design. This seemed quite strange, but it was not difficult to imagine that Apple was simply trying to do something different. This is the same company that gave us the idea of the notch, tried unsuccessfully to introduce the Touch Bar, and once convinced itself that a button-less, screen-less iPod was a good idea.
iPhone 14 Pro
Before the phone was revealed, the latest leaks were largely going in the right direction. In the cutout given at the top of the front, there is an empty space between the pill and the hole. But it is not visible to the users because this hole has been expanded with the help of software, so that you can see a black patch. It is integrated with a user interface that provides notifications and status indicators, and is also interactive. Apple has worked on many types of animations and transitions in it, which makes this strange looking patch very useful.
I was glad that the full screen video would not play around these two holes. I would have had trouble with even one hole here. I’m excited to see how Apple uses its hardware and software prowess to make this a useful UI element. The active display area expands into a pop-up notification popup when needed, otherwise it keeps showing things like small album artwork while music is playing, charging or payment indicators etc. Apps can use this area to show ongoing activity. You can see two activities going on at the same time – the second activity appears in a small circular bubble on the right side of the island. I agree with Apple here, which turns out to be the actual pill and hole arrangement described by the leakers.
No part of the island is a dead zone for Touch
Overall, this is undoubtedly a nice improvement over the notch, and makes the premium iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max a fresher feeling. It distracts while watching full screen video but now we have to get used to it. In short, the camera seems to interfere with the display area. No part of the island is a dead zone for Touch, meaning the island doesn’t interfere with swiping and Touch does its job no matter where your finger is moving on the island.
Design of iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max
This year Apple has used deep purple color as its signature color which is quite deep. The color is quite dark and de-saturated making it look gray with lighter tints. Space black, silver and gold colors are available in other options. The frames of both the smartphones are made of polished stainless steel. The iPhone 14 Pro weighs 206 grams, while the iPhone 14 Pro Max comes in much heavier, weighing in at 240 grams.
If we look at the shape and proportions of the phone, not much has changed since the iPhone 12 Pro series. The phone has a flat back and frames all around – the MagSafe accessory ecosystem forces Apple into a bit of a bind here. The camera module at the rear has become a little bigger, so the back covers of last year’s phones will not work here. If you’re in the US, you’ll notice that the phone is missing a SIM tray – this is a goal Apple is working on, but it has its own disadvantages, and India has been left out for now.

A lightning port is provided at the bottom. Rumors say that Apple will move to USB Type-C from next year. This will become a legal requirement in many countries, but it makes a lot of sense to have it anyway.
iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max display and specifications
Dynamic Island is available exclusively for Pro handsets because the company can take advantage of the display technology in it in pricing. The Super Retina XDR display is now slightly larger and the borders are thinner. Apple claims a peak brightness of 1600 nits for HDR and these panels are rated to deliver up to 2000 nits of brightness outdoors. The refresh rate can go down to 1Hz to save power.
For the first time, Always On Display has been provided in iPhones and this is a big change. It is presented in Apple’s own fashion and a special visual style has been adopted for it. Instead of showing simple graphics or plain text on a black background like Android phones, it simply serves as your iPhone’s lockscreen, but in a very dim form. With the help of machine learning, the brightness is reduced depending on the wallpaper image but the details are preserved. Lockscreen widgets also remain visible continuously.

Apple claims 29 hours of battery life with the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 23 hours with the iPhone 14 Pro. The new A16 Bionic SoC has been provided with improvements. It has 16 billion transistors and is made using a 4nm manufacturing process. The company claims the highest power and efficiency in the industry with 6 CPU cores, 5 GPU cores, 16 Neural Engine cores, and multiple other subsystems.
iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max cameras
Improvements have also been made in the camera department. The primary camera is 48 megapixels and quad pixel binning has been used for the first time. Apple has claimed that the sensor in the new iPhone is 65 percent larger than the iPhone 13 Pro. In most cases the camera is optimized to capture light, in which four pixels combine into one to click a 12-megapixel photo. Low-light quality is also said to be 2 times better. Subjects will remain in sharp focus even with blurred motion backgrounds, it is said.
On the other hand, you can also optimize pixels individually, which gives more creative options for shooting and editing. The company has also given a new 2X zoom option which can crop a 48 megapixel image and turn it into a 12 megapixel high detail image. 48 megapixel ProRAW photos can also be taken with the phone. A new option Action Mode has been given in the video feature which crops the video and gives it such stability as if it was shot with a gimbal.
The 9 LED flash
The phone has a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera which has more focus pixels for macro photos and low-light shots can also be captured better. Autofocus has been provided for the first time in the front camera and f/1.9 aperture has been used for better low light shots. The 9 LED flash at the back is adaptive which also has intelligent pattern and intensity adjustment feature. We will see how all this works during the review.
Other new features include crash detection and satellite-based emergency messaging (for now only in the US and Canada). iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max come with iOS 16 which has some new capabilities.
The new Pro phones look fresh enough to inspire people to upgrade. This time the difference between them and their non-Pro version handsets is the biggest till date. However, their high prices will keep them out of reach of many buyers. To decide whether you should go for this upgrade or not, be sure to check out Gadgets 360’s full review, coming very soon.
