It was found that the waves hitting the soil are giving a new shape to the shore of the island. Its shores were expanding.

Their size depends on the process of their formation in different parts of the earth. The atolls of French, Polynesia, Maldivian, and Micronesia have different structures. Scientists have recently studied 184 islands of Maldives. A complicated picture has emerged here. Half of these islands are losing their existence with the passage of time, while the other half remain the same. Interestingly, some islands are also increasing their size.
