The patent states that the pump will fill the chamber with air and the sensor will measure the vibration. The device will then accurately check this information and measure the pressure and vibration again while the bag is filled with air. Eventually the device will assume these measurements are correct and empty the chamber. According to the patent, this liquid-filled sensor will be more accurate than air-filled sensors.
