If a creator wants to show fewer shorts videos on the channel homepage, that option will also be available through the ‘Show Fewer Shorts’ option.
YouTube said this change was made mainly based on user feedback. The change has also been brought to YouTube due to the growing popularity of long-form short-form video content on other social media as well. YouTube has extended the duration of short videos up to 3 minutes, thereby attracting more content creators and viewers.
