A study reveals some surprising information about COVID-19. In some people, Covid infection is eliminated immediately after entering the nasal chamber. Nature Published in the science journal named Study Gives new information about Covid infection. Some people do not get infected with the Covid virus even after exposure. Researchers conducted an experiment in which volunteers were exposed to the pre-alpha strain of SARS-CoV-2. In the experiment, it was found that the immune response in the nasal tissue of those who resisted the infection was very fast.

This response is activated by MAIT cells, which also include white blood cells. These destroy the virus even before it sets in the nose. Higher expression of a gene called HLA-DQA2 was found in these people. This research shows how our immune system protects us from infection, which cannot be possible through any other external means.

This research will have a major impact on the next generation methods for prevention of SARS-CoV-2. Apart from this, the contribution of this research can also be seen in the treatments invented to prevent other epidemics.
