About Thandel
The film is inspired by a real-life incident involving fishermen from Srikakulam who unintentionally drifted into Pakistani waters during a fishing trip off the coast of Gujarat.
Cast
In addition to Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi, the film features Prakash Belawadi, Aadukalam Naren, Karunakaran, and Kalpalatha in important roles.
Production
Thandel has been directed by 'Premam' fame Chandoo Mondeti and produced by Bunny Vasu under the banner of Geetha Arts.
Thandel box office
Thandel grossed over Rs. 100 cr worldwide and is the fourth highest-grossing Telugu film of 2025 and the eight highest-grossing film of 2025.
OTT rights
As per several reports, Zee Telugu had acquired Thandel's satellite rights whereas its streaming rights were acquired by Netflix India for Rs. 40 cr.
