Tiktok ban: On Friday, August 22, a source of the Indian government revealed that the government had not given any permission to lift the ban on the ticket. Tickets were banned in 2021
The Indian government banned six Chinese mobile apps in June 2021. Among them were popular apps like Tiktak, WeChat and Helo. The decision was made after the Indo-China clash in the Galwan Valley. On the other hand, Tiktok or its original company Byteans has not yet made any formal statement on the issue. They did not confirm anything about returning the app and did not say anything about the website opening in India.
Security and information concerns
The Indian government said that these apps were collecting user information and could send them out of India. This is a major threat to the country’s sovereignty, security and public order. This is why they were banned under section 4 of the Information Technology Act.
India-China attempt to improve relationships
Although the app -like apps like Tickets continue to be banned, it has recently taken several steps to improve India and China relations. Three trade routes at the border are restarted – Lipulekh Pass, Shipki La Pass and Nathu La Pass.
Both countries have agreed to start flight directly and make a new airline agreement. There is also an agreement to facilitate visa services for tourists, traders, media and other travelers.
