Swiggy has brought a new food delivery app called ‘Snack by Swiggy’ to deliver fast snacks and food in just 15 minutes. The app focuses on fast food options like Zepto’s Zepto Cafe and offers a variety of snacks and meals.
Currently, testing in Bengaluru pin codes, no official launch date or extended availability has been announced yet. The app is available for download on the Play Store, where users can find offers like tea, coffee, breakfast items, snacks and desserts.
Notably, Snack operates as a standalone application, as opposed to Swiggy’s previous approach of maintaining a unified application for all services.
The introduction of the snack allowed Swiggy to compete with existing players in the fast-food delivery market, including Zepto Cafe and Blinkit’s Bistro.
What separates a snack from a Swiggy Bolt?
Swiggy’s Bolt, which offers 10-minute delivery from restaurants, also aims for speed, focusing on serving snack fast food, beverages and ready meals. Its menu includes chocolate cookies, coffee, sandwiches, Indian breakfast items, egg puffs and Paneer Maggi. The snack is designed to target a different market segment than Bolt, which already serves more than 400 cities and contributes significantly to Swiggy’s mandate.
