Solar Eclipse latest update: Preparations related to the first solar eclipse of this year, which is going to take place on April 8, have intensified. India’s solar mission Aditya L-1 will also witness the total solar eclipse. According to reports, Aditya L1 will also keep an eye on the Sun when the total solar eclipse will affect the areas of America, Canada and Mexico. The total solar eclipse will begin with the arrival of the Moon between the Sun and the Earth. It is being said that the total solar eclipse will last for 4 minutes and the Sun will not be visible from the Earth.

However, this eclipse will not be visible from India because it will be night here. Aditya L1 mission was launched last year. There are 6 instruments installed in it. Aditya L1 is about 15 lakh kilometers away from the Earth at a place called Lagrange Point 1.

The Sun can always be monitored from Lagrange point 1. According to India Today report, 2 out of 6 instruments of Aditya L1 can be used to observe the solar eclipse. These instruments are-
Visible Emission Line Coronagraph (VELC) and Solar Ultraviolet Imaging Telescope (SUIT).

The most special thing about a solar eclipse is that if the Moon blocks the solar disk, the Sun’s corona becomes visible, which makes the outer layers of the Sun appear glowing. This view is visible from Earth only for a few moments. It is possible that Aditya L1 may capture a similar picture.

How to Watch Solar Eclipse 2024 Live

US space agency NASA will live stream the first total solar eclipse of 2024 on its YouTube channel. According to Indian time, the total solar eclipse can be watched live online from 10.30 pm on April 8. It will also be telecast on many other platforms.
