Seeing stars in the sky relaxes many people. However, this view may stop appearing in the next 20 years. Scientists have warned that humans’ ability to see stars in the sky on the night may end in the next 20 years due to light pollution. Light pollution situation has deteriorated over the years.

Britain’s Astronomer, Martin Rees gave the Guardian to The Guardian Interview In 2016, in 2016, Astronomers reported that about one-third of people in the world did not have the ability to see Milky Way or Akash Ganga. He said that LED and other types of lighting are shining the sky very much at night. According to Martin, “The sky of the night is part of our environment and if the next generation is unable to see it then it will be a big drawback. It is as if they never can see a bird’s nest. It is not necessary to be your astronomer to care about it.”

Christopher Kyba of the German Center for Geochens said that if a child is born at a place where 250 stars are seen at night, then only 100 stars will be seen when he is 18 years old. He said, “Till a few decades ago, people saw the sky clear at night. However, this view is now rare. The world’s most rich people or only a few of the poor are able to see it and it is almost over for the rest.” Kayba said that the situation can be improved significantly by making some changes in lighting. These include turning outdoor lights downwards, limiting the brightness of the lights and having lights and white of lights and keeping red and orange components.

In this regard, Professor at UK’s Institute of Ophthalmology, Robert Fosbury said that there is no red or infra red light in the blue emission from LED and it is deficient in red and infra red lights. It can have serious consequences. He said, “When the red colored light shines on our body, it reduces the high level of sugar in the blood and increases the production of melatonin. It may also include the reasons for increasing diabetes and obesity cases.”
