First, it needs to be understood that Instagram does not officially show profile viewer list. But there are some insights that give a clear indication of profile visits, such as profile interactions, story views, like-comments and spikes in activity with your account.

Instagram Insights on business or creator accounts gives clear data on how many times your profile has been viewed and which types of people are interacting the most.

If you want to know who is viewing your profile, the easiest way is to change your account to Creator or Business. After that you can see profile visits, reach, most active users, reactions to your content in Insights section.

Although names don’t appear here, Insights clearly shows which people have suddenly become more active on your profile.

Instagram Stories may be the biggest clue though. A person who is quietly viewing your profile often also views your story, often without liking or replying.

If someone repeatedly appears at the top of your story watch list, know that they are visiting your profile frequently. The Instar algorithm shows those who are most interested in your account at the top.

Many third party apps claim to know who has viewed your profile. But the truth is, Instagram API doesn’t allow such data.

Such apps can steal your data or hack accounts. So installing them is dangerous.

Although Instagram doesn’t directly show profile viewers, but from some insights, story view patterns and profile interactions, you can pretty much guess who is secretly watching your profile.

Using a Creator or Business account allows you to securely see who is viewing your profile.
