The smartphone was filled with spam messages. Call spam at busy times. A confusing message one by one if you keep an eye on the notification bar. Something is like that I want to believe. And once you click on. Where to say where to say it. The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, the TRAI, made a big decision to pull the rush on these issues.

Telecom companies who repeatedly violate spam or unwanted or harassing phone calls and unwanted messages can be fined Tk 2 lakh to 1 lakh. Telecom regulatory agency TRAI has imposed strict rules on telecom service provider companies in this regard.

All telecom operators have directed the regulatory body to identify potential spammers in real time. Abnormally high call volume, short call and incoming and outgoing calls, SMS pattern analyzes analysis. According to the TRII, the first violation of the spam call will be fined Tk 2 lakh for the first violation, Tk 1 lakh for the second violation and Tk 1 lakh per violation.

According to a notification issued by the Tree on Wednesday, commercial or commercial messages have also been changed. For example, ‘P’ will be written in front of promotional messages, where ‘S’ in front of the service related messages will be written. Telecom companies have to make this arrangement. And if a customer stops receiving commercial messages, no campaign company will be able to seek consent from that customer before 7 days.

You can complain within 5 days

It is reported that the new rules will be effective within the next 3-5 days. Under the new rules, all telecom companies should clearly show a place to file a complaint against spam call on their app or portal, so that customers can easily click on them. The minimum required information should be taken from customers. Customers can complain to telecom companies via e-mail. The spam call number can be reported by providing the call number and uploading a screenshot to the app.

Regarding spam calls, TRAI also says that mobile phone users can now complain about unwanted calls and messages within seven days. The deadline for reporting before the previous was only three days. Now that deadline has been extended. Within five days, action should be taken against the spam callers. Earlier this limit was 7 days. If five complaints are received within 5 days, then the companies will have to take steps to block their number and put it on the black list.
