Mann ki baat: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, April 26, spoke of a new mobile app at his ‘Mann Ki Baat’. The name of this app is Sachet. This app is basically issued a warning on any type of natural disaster on a specific area basis. That is, if you download this app on your phone, you will be warned if you have any disaster in your area. The National Disease Management Authority is provided by citizens to real-time, geo-terracated warning through this app. Users will get a warning for their current location and this app will work in any state or any city in India.
This Sachet Mobile App provides assistance from government sources and authorities to warn the public about the potential disaster situation. Also in this app you provide weather reports and predictions from the Indian Meteorological Department or IMD for daily weather updates.
Many important information in this app like what to do, what not to do; Helpline number, damaged area, satellite receiver connectivity informs us. This app can be used in 12 different Indian languages by translation. It has even reed-out facilities.
Narendra Modi made a speech for the people once every month at this ‘Mann Ki Batti’ ceremony. In today’s statement, Modi said, ‘From a special app on your mobile you will now get any disaster warning. This app can prevent you from being trapped in natural disasters’.
He also said that this Sachet app will send citizens’ warnings to citizens in any case- whether flood or cyclone, landslide, tsunami, fire or storm, hurricane, snowstorms, thunderstorms. With this app you can easily get any news about the weather office. And the most special thing is that you will find a lot of information in your own language in this Sachet app. The information will be available in all regional languages.
In March this year, several gambling apps were banned from the Play Store by the government. Online gambling is being taken into consideration so that children and adolescents cannot add to the country.
