Russian News Agency TASS Quoting Space.com, it has been written that on July 2, Russia’s space agency Roscosmos informed about its planning. She is working on a space station named Russian Orbital Service Station (ROSS).
According to the report, Russia may launch the first X-shaped module by 2027. This will be a research and power node. Similarly, four more modules will be launched by 2030. Then by 2033, two major modules will be added to them. Roscosmos plans to send the first group of astronauts to the space station in the year 2028. It is also suggested that the space station be operated without crew.
According to the report, Russia’s space station will also work at the same altitude at which the International Space Station is present. It is 400 kilometers above the earth. The Russian Space Agency believes that this place is beneficial for exploring the entire surface of the Earth. The estimated cost of Russia’s space station is approximately US$7 billion.
An important link in Russia’s space station is its Angara A5 rocket. It is believed that this rocket will carry the modules of the space station. This rocket has been successful to a great extent, but till now it has only been tested.
