After the Samsung Galaxy S Series smartphone, the best smartphone counts the Galaxy A series smartphone. The smartphone company of this series makes for customers who want to buy a Samsung’s premium -tag smartphone at a low price. These devices do not have features like Samsung’s flagship S series smartphones, but still Samsung Galaxy A series smartphones are much better.

Last year’s end Samsung Cay new Galaxy A7, Galaxy A5 Aurr Galaxy A3 Smartphones were launched. Today we will review the Samsung Galaxy A5 smartphone and find out whether this Samsung smartphone is worth buying or not. What are the shortcomings and features in this new Samsung smartphone.

Look and design
As you must have seen in Samsung’s TV advertisement, the company has promoted a lot of metal and glass in the Galaxy A5 and this is its specialty. Simply put, this Samsung smartphone gives a feeling like a premium smartphone like Galaxy S6. This handset of Samsung has a curved Gorilla Glass 4 in the front and rear, which makes and feels better than its old generation phone.

Talk about the front of the phone, this smartphone has a 5.2 inch full HD Super AMOLED display which looks with the best and bright color in sunlight. The edges of the A5 are extremely thin, which gives it an edge-to-edge look.

Like every Samsung’s phone, navigation buttons are in the same place. The fingerprint sensor works from the home button. But no LED has been given in this smartphone for incoming alert, headphone socket, micro-USB and speaker grills are given downwards.

The Galaxy A5 smartphone (Kodename-A510 FD) was launched in India with dual-sim slot and microSD card. The SIM tray on the right side has a primary SIM and microSD slot while the secondary SIM slot has been given on the top side of the phone.

On purchasing Samsung Galaxy A5 smartphone, you get 10 watt charger, headset and a SIM Ejector Tool. Samsung has done a great job on the texture and design of this smartphone, which makes this flagship smartphone look like Galaxy S6. However, due to the glass given on the back of the phone, it slightly slipped into catching. The lack of LED notifications in the phone is quite unlikely.

Specification and software
Samsung has improved not only the design of the phone but also the performance. The phone sold in Galaxy A5 (2016) in India has an octa-core Execution 7580 processor. Samsung has recently used the same processor in its mid-range smartphone Galaxy J7. However, the processor given in the Galaxy A5 runs with a slight improvement (1.6 GHz and supports 6 LTE).

During the phone’s benchmark, we got the right figures but the GPU figures got a little less.

The phone has 16 GB of internal storage with 2 GB RAM. Storage can be increased to 128 GB with the help of microSD card. Apart from this, the phone has connectivity features like dual-band Wi-Fi B/G/N, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, FM Radio and USB OTG. The A5 supports 4G in both SIM slots, although the phone does not have VoLTE support.

Although Galaxy A5 (2016 )’s coming with Android Lollipop is a bit disappointing, Samsung seems to have saved Marshmallow for its flagship smartphone Galaxy S7.

Apps like Samsung’s S Health and My Galaxy include pre-installs in the handset. Ultra data saving mode given in J-Series is also present in the Galaxy A5. Apart from this, Microsoft and many popular apps of Google are also already installed in the phone.

Performance
The general performance of the phone is quite good. But if you have opened many apps in the background together, then the phone slows down slightly. But apart from this, we never got to see any problem in the phone. The phone is hot during playing games and very much camera use, but easily goes on without any problem. We did not see any problem in call quality on 4G network.

The fingerprint sensor works, but it is not as fast as the sensor given in many phones recently launched. Despite the 16 GB of internal storage, the user is used by 11 GB. But this is not a major problem due to expandable storage.

Multimedia playback experience is fantastic due to the shiny display. Full-HD video and high bighting files are also well played. The sound quality of the phone is very good with the mono speaker.

With optical image stabilization and large aperture F/1.9, you get the best detail landscape photos in daylight from the 13 -megapixel camera of the phone. The color reproduction of the photos is quite good. Artificial and low light photos also look well when zoom is zoom. Overall, the camera quality is good.

The video is also very good in full-HD resolution. A detailed selfie can also be taken in the indoor with a 5 megapixel camera of aperture F/1.9. The picture can be quickly taken from the phone but the focus is very slow. The same problem is also seen in video recording. The lack of phase detection autofocus is clear.

The camera in the Galaxy A5 smartphone is not as better than the camera given in Samsung’s flagship smartphone.

battery life
The new Galaxy A5 has a strong battery of 2900 mAh. However, this has increased the thickness and weight of the phone. But this does not matter because the phone’s babatry lasted for 14 hours 42 minutes in our video loop test. At the same time, during simple use, we were able to use the phone for one and a half days without charging. The phone has adaptive quick charging technology and we charge from 0 to 50 percent in just half an hour.

Our decision
Samsung has done a great job with the Galaxy A5 smartphone. With the improvement of its texture and design, the Galaxy A series has now come very close to the flagship S series. However, the company has kept the price of the phone completely wrong so that it cannot be recommended to buy this phone. The retail price of Galaxy A5 2016 is around Rs 28,500, which is very high in view of all its specifications.

The Galaxy A5 is successful only when Samsung improves its price. According to us, with all these specifications and features at the price of Rs 20,000, you will get many other better smartphones. The texture, design, display and battery life of the Galaxy A5 is very good. We also liked the camera quality but the phone could be designed in a better way. But we did not understand the reason for not giving notification LED in the phone.
