Mobile Tariff Hike: After the Lok Sabha polls, the country’s three major telecom operators hiked recharge charges in the last week of June. And due to the rapid increase in the tariff plan of this mobile recharge, there has been a huge decline in the number of customers (Mobile Tariff Hike) in these three months. Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Jio suffered the biggest loss in subscriber numbers. Reliance Jio has lost 79 lakh subscribers in these three months, according to data from the Ministry of Telecom. Other companies are also in trouble.

Big decline in Reliance Jio subscriber base

Vodafone Idea Bharti Airtel is also in trouble

Vodafone Idea, the country’s third largest telecom operator, is second in the list in terms of subscriber loss. This company has lost 15 lakh customers. On the other hand, Bharti Airtel’s subscriber base also fell by 1.4 lakhs to 38.34 crores.

BSNL has made huge profits

When all the private telecom operator companies increased their mobile recharge charges, all the customers flocked to BSNL. The number of subscribers of this state-owned telecom company increased by leaps and bounds within a month. The company’s subscriber base increased by 8.49 lakh to 9.18 crore in September.

Disadvantages of increasing tariffs

On June 27 and 28, the country’s three largest private telecom operators Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea and Bharti Airtel increased their recharge tariffs by 10-21 percent. It is effective from the first week of July. And because of this, the companies are in crisis, the number of customers is decreasing. And because BSNL does not increase the cost of recharge, the number of subscribers of this company continues to increase.
