The Narzo 20 Pro comes with 65-watt SuperDart charging technology and the good thing is that a charger supporting the same capacity is provided in the box. The Narzo 20 Pro weighs 191 grams, which is not too much considering its size and battery capacity.

The similarities of this phone with Realme 7 are not limited to design only. Both the phones come with a similar processor. Realme has chosen MediaTek Helio G95 chipset in Narzo 20 Pro. It is an octa-core processor, consisting of two Cortex-A76 cores running at a clock speed of 2.05 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores running at a clock speed of 2 GHz. It has two options: 64 GB storage with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage with 8 GB RAM. We had its top variant for review, which is priced at Rs 16,999. The base model has been launched at a price of Rs 14,999.
You get a 90Hz full-HD+ display on the Narzo 20 Pro. High-refresh rate panels aren’t very common at this price, but Realme already offers them on some models. The Narzo 20 Pro automatically sets the refresh rate on the phone according to the task at hand. Although you can also set it yourself. The color temperature of its panel can also be set manually.
The Narzo 20 Pro runs Realme UI based on Android 10 and our unit had the August Android security patch. The Realme UI has some customizations like App Lock, which can be used to lock apps. Apart from this, Private Space is available, which gives you the option to protect your photos, videos and other files with a password. The UI is very easy to use and we ran it without any issues. Realme Narzo 20 Pro also had some pre-installed apps, such as Facebook, Realme Community, Realme Pay and some other apps and we would recommend you to uninstall them if you do not want to use them.
Realme Narzo 20 Pro performance
Narzo 20 Pro did not give us any complaint in daily use. Apps loaded quickly and switching between them was smooth. The fingerprint scanner and face unlock feature work accurately and quickly to unlock the device. Even heavy usage can be handled comfortably by the Narzo 20 Pro.
We played Call of Duty: Mobile on the smartphone and it ran on the mid graphics preset by default. With these default settings the game ran smoothly without any lag. We played the game for 15 minutes and noticed that the battery dropped by 6 percent and the phone’s screen was moderately warm to the touch.
The battery life of Realme Narzo 20 Pro was quite good. The phone easily lasted a day and a half in our usage. Even if you are a heavy user, you should still get a day’s battery backup. In our HD video loop test, the Narzo 20 Pro lasted 20 hours and 12 minutes on a charge, which is pretty good. The icing on the cake is that Realme provides a 65W SuperDart charger with the phone. It charged the phone up to 50 percent in just fifteen minutes and it took about 40 minutes for the phone to be fully charged. It is quite fast and there is currently no phone available that offers such charging speed at this price.
Realme Narzo 20 Pro cameras
A quad-camera setup is available on the Narzo 20 Pro, which includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra wide angle camera, a 2-megapixel black and white portrait camera and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The camera app is very easy to use and commonly used modes can be accessed by swiping up on the main screen. There’s a sub-menu for additional shooting modes.
The Narzo 20 Pro takes 12-megapixel shots by default and has decent dynamic range. The AI is able to figure out what scene the camera is going to capture, so it sets the camera accordingly. Colors were accurate and there was good detail even on distant subjects. The wide-angle camera produces lower resolution output and there was a noticeable drop in quality. The barrel effect was also visible on the edges. You also have the option to take shots at full 48-megapixel resolution, but the shots taken from this were not that good and when we zoomed-in the shots had a watercolor effect.
Close-up shots were good and the camera was able to capture sharp details with soft background blur. Portrait shots were also decent, but we noticed that the AI was not able to detect the subject well. However, it recognizes faces easily. It also let us set the level of blur before taking the shot. The macro camera lets you capture the subject very close, but the resolution is low and the photos are not very sharp.
Camera performance in low light was average and photos appeared flat. Switching to Night mode produced better details, but the phone takes about three seconds to capture each shot. The wide-angle camera does not capture as much light as the primary camera. Although it is capable of capturing a larger area. There is also an option to take photos in night mode using the wide-angle camera, but there is a slight difference in clarity.
Selfies taken with the Realme Narzo 20 Pro were fine. You can also take portrait shots using the selfie camera and it gives you the opportunity to set the level of blur. The portraits were good. Low-light selfies were below average.
Verdict
Realme Narzo 20 Pro comes equipped with some powerful hardware and can meet the needs of power users. The Helio G95 chipset can handle heavy apps and games with ease and the large battery provides good backup. Most impressive is the included 65W fast charging support, which takes this phone a couple of steps ahead of its competitors. However, low-light camera performance needs some improvement.
If its camera performance doesn’t matter much to you, then Narzo 20 Pro is a good performer for the price. However, actually this phone and Realme 7 (Review) There is not much difference, so Realme 7 also comes out as a suitable option.
