The problem has been found through its latest midrange smartphone Oppo Mirror 3.
Oppo has given an 8-megapixel camera in Mirror 3 product, which is equipped with Backside-siluminated (BSI) Sony IMX179 Sensor. This sensor is known for the best performance in low light. On the other hand, the specifications of Oppo Mirror 3 are less than expected, given the price of low paper. We spent some time with this device to find out that the performance of the camera is so good that
This product should be purchased.
Look and design
While making a smartphone, we liked it to pay attention to Oppo’s exaggeration and small nuances about the design. Even though the design of Mirror 3 is not very different from any other Candeber phone, it looks more premium according to its price. The most important thing is that this smartphone is slightly small, knowing that we usually use 5 inches or bigger screen phones these days, this is a pleasant change. We were able to remove it from the pocket very easily and can also use it with one hand. The reality is that the back of the phone is slightly curved (curvy), due to which it becomes more convenient to hold it in the hands.
Oppo Mirror 3 is a compact phone. Its dimensions are 137.7×68.8×8.9mm and weight 130 grams. The body’s body is fully made of plastic, but it looks quite strong. However, cheap plastic has been used to make the power button on the right and volume rocker.
While pressing these buttons, we realized that it would break, the reason was a different click sound. The microphone for micro USB port and phone calls remain at the bottom of the phone. On the other hand, the top of the phone has a 3.5mm audio port. There is another microphone in the upper part that serves to record voice during video captains. There is also an infrared emitter.
Capacitive buttons are built at the bottom of the screen, through which you can navigate in the operating system. The earpiece, lightsenser and front camera are built above the screen. The rear look is texchard, but there is a gloss coating above it, due to which it looks smooth in touching. There is a metallic ring around the camera and flash. The back of the phone for the speaker has seven small holes made from the machine. There is a battery compartment, two micro SIM card slots and microSD card slots inside the rear cover.
Specification and software
Talking about the feature, we had told that there is no new specification in Oppo Mirror 3. The phone has a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC processor, with Adreno 306 Graphics Integrated. The phone has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage. You may see 8 GB less, but you can increase it up to 128 GB via microSD card. With this through Mirror 3 Micro USB port
USB can work as host. All these specifications are not so spectacular, because the rest of this smartphone is coming with Snapdragon 410 SoC processor and 2 GB RAM is a common feature these days.
The 8 -megapixel rear camera of Mirror 3 has an aperture, 5P lens and blue light sensor of f/2.0. A 5 megapixel front camera can be used to take selfies. Only one SIM card can be used to connect to 3G network. Talking about the rest of the connectivity option, the phone has an option infrared, Bluetooth Bluetooth 4.0 and Wi-Fi A/B/G/N. The phone has a 2,000mAh battery.
The resolution of the 4.7 -inch IPS LCD panel is 720×1280, while its pixel density (density) is 312ppi. Gorilla Glass 3 of Corning above the screen is 3 protection. The display of the phone is bright and the color saturation is also fine. The viewing angles and the screen directly do good work. Anyway, Oppo has rarely disappointed his phone display. But there is one thing, some people may say that this price
Compared to the second smartphone of the range, the display specifications of this phone are less than the average.
Oppo has used its Color OS 2.0 skin above Android 4.4.4 Kitkat. Not using Lollipop operating system is a huge drawback of Mirror 3. Color OS 2.0 is quite polished, clean and light, but it does not match Android from anywhere. Color OS 2.0 has been improved and some tricks have also been added, but they are not all exclusive with this product. For example, we status bar
In we can monitor the speed of our 3G connections. Gesture and motion tricks also worked well with this. Oppo has also given the option to users to make changes in the theme according to their desire.
Camera
The camera app has many types of features and modes are also present inside the app, which users can add and remove according to their preference. HDR, Panorama and expert mode are also present. However, this app has unique features like colorful night, double exposure and GIF. The color of photos taken in low light can be improved further through colorful night mode. Through double exposure you can take two photos and one to another
Can be subjected to above, it is used to give artistic effects. You can create a moving picture through GIF mode. Every detail was seen in the photographs taken in normal lights, along with it, it was not pixalated. However, overall tone was more warm than our desire.
You will need to use HDR to protect the photo from oversexpose. Tip: Unlike common perception, you get better pictures than strong sunlight.
In low light, the BSI sensor does its job well and we get many great shots. In these photos, the nose can be felt, but it is far better than the photo taken from the camera of another smartphone. In reality, the low light performance of the camera is equal to Huawei Honor 6 Plus and it is a huge achievement in itself.
The 5 megapixel front camera works excellent while taking selfies, there is no need to apply for beauty effects. The 1080p captivated video from the camera did not live up to expectations, especially because many areas were underxposed despite proper lights.
Performance
We have no complaints about performance, but Mirror 3 is not powerhouse at all. It plays the basic task well but as soon as an intensive task is given, it starts falling back. This deficiency was clearly visible while playing heavy graphics Asphalt 8 games.
In the AnTuu and GFXBench Tests, Mirror 3 scored 19,840 and 10,974 respectively, which is slightly less than the Test result of the second smartphone on SOC. In the graphics benchmark test 3DMark Ice Storm, the phone scored 5,236, while the phone gave 9.5FPS results in the GFXBench Test.
Mirror 3 had no problem in playing the video. There was no problem in running 40MBPS’s Hyvili Incode Sample Footage. The speaker of the phone is loud according to the need and the earphones coming with the phone are sufficient for common use. The quality of the voice is good during the phone call and we did not face the problem of call drop. The phone’s battery video loop lasted for 8 hours and 1 minute on the battery test, which
The phone with a 2,000mAh battery capacity was a bit surprising.
Our decision
Oppo Mirror 3 is priced at Rs 16,990, which is slightly higher than the value of the product. However, primary camera can take the best photos in low light and this specialty should be wooed by many buyers. You buy this phone only when you want to use a photo or you want to use the phone as infrared remote control for the rest of your electronic device.
