Lava Blaze Pro 5G price and availability New budget smartphone
The price of 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of Lava Blaze Pro 5G is Rs 12,499. The phone is available in two color options, Starry Night and Radiant Pearl. This smartphone of Lava will be available for sale from offline stores, Amazon.in and Lava India website from October 3.
Design
We got the Starry Night color option of the phone for review, which looks good. Shining matte design has been given on the back side of the phone. The camera module on the back of the phone comes in the same color with a glossy finish. It looks a little different due to the change in finish. The camera module is given in 2 circular rings design.
Apart from this, LED flash is provided in pill shape. Lava 5G branding has been done at the bottom of the rear of the phone. The shining matte design of this phone makes it quite handy to hold. In terms of dimensions, the length of this phone is 168.7 mm, width is 76.7 mm, thickness is 8.9 mm and weight is 203 grams. Lava may have kept the price of this phone low, but this phone looks quite elegant to hold due to its decent design.
display
Lava Blaze Pro 5G has a 6.78 inch hole-punch display with FHD+ resolution, whose refresh rate is 120Hz. The phone runs quite smooth and this is possible thanks to the higher refresh rate. We played a video to check the display quality on this phone. However, during this time the phone closed the window several times and went to the main menu. Along with this, one had to click several times to view the full display. It could be that this is a software bug. Over the next few days we will examine the display in detail and talk about all the good and bad parts of it in our review.
processor
Lava has used MediaTek Dimensity 6020 processor in this phone. At present we did not face any problem while using it. This phone has 8 GB RAM and 128 GB inbuilt storage. RAM can be expanded up to 8 GB through virtual RAM. However, as we have not used it for gaming or any other heavy use, it would be difficult to say whether this phone hangs or not. We will be able to give complete information about this in detail in the full review.
camera
Talking about camera setup, this phone has a 50-megapixel primary camera with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) support. An 8 megapixel selfie camera is provided in its front. As far as the camera is concerned, we used it and found that it works well. The zoom capability of the camera is decent and it supports 10x zoom. On zooming, a photo of a very distant subject can be clicked, although the pixels start bursting. The selfie camera works fine during video calling. While clicking photos, it supports 4x zoom so that selfies can be clicked with a lot of details. Overall first impression the camera seemed average. In good daylight, it worked well and the pictures looked sharp, but in zoom and low-light, I was expecting slightly better results. However, all these cameras are yet to be tested in detail.
Battery New budget smartphone
The phone has a 5,000mAh battery which supports 33W fast charging. We put this phone on charge with 35 percent battery and it took about 1 hour to get fully charged (75 percent). Its charging speed can be said to be fine in this range. Wait for our detailed review to know how the battery performs in heavy and average usage.
Currently, there are many greats available in the market within Rs 15,000. Currently, all the brands are eyeing the segment and Lava also does not want to miss the opportunity. Bringing 5G smartphones in the sub-15 thousand rupees category is a good step, but there are some smartphones in the segment which give us strong hardware in terms of price. In such a situation, will Lava Blaze Pro 5G be able to stand its ground in the competition? To know, wait for the review of this smartphone and till then stay with us.
