There are some differences between the two models. The Moto E4 Plus has a 5.5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display while the Moto E4 has a 5-inch HD screen. Due to the difference in size, the display of the Moto E4 looks crisper than the Plus variant. The most important feature of Moto E4 Plus is the 5000 mAh battery, whereas in the smaller variant you get a 2800 mAh battery.
Talking about other specifications, Moto E4 Plus has 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. Whereas, Moto E4 has 2 GB RAM and 16 GB storage. In both models, it is possible to expand the storage via microSD card. Both the handsets run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box. In the limited time we spent with the handset, we did not notice any major shortcomings in performance. However, only select apps were available on the unit on display.
Moto E4 Plus has a 13-megapixel rear camera while Moto E4 comes with an 8-megapixel sensor on the rear. Both the handsets have 5 megapixel sensors on the front. The pictures taken from the front camera of both the handsets looked good at first glance. At the same time, the performance of the rear camera will be called average only.
Compared to the older phones of the Moto E generation, the design of the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus is noteworthy. Both the phones have a metal body and a circular camera module has been provided at the back. This camera module has now become a trademark design of the Moto lineup. In the hands, the Moto E4 and Moto E4 Plus feel solid, but not overly premium. However, considering the price, most users can ignore this shortcoming.
The dimensions of Moto E4 are 144.5x72x9.3 millimeters and weight is 150 grams. On the other hand, the Moto E4 Plus is longer and thicker due to the larger battery and display. Its dimensions are 155×77.5×9.55 millimeters and weight is 181 grams. However, there is no problem in using either of them in hand. Now let’s talk about the navigation feature of Moto One. Both the phones have a home button on the front panel which is also a fingerprint sensor. Using this you will be able to use the Android interface with one hand. Although this feature will be useful in many situations, it will not be easy for everyone to get used to it.
At this price, Moto E4 will compete with Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Yu Eureka Black. At the same time, Moto E4 Plus will face challenges like InFocus Turbo 5, Lenovo K6 Power and Asus Zenfone 3 Max.
