How does that fraud cycle work?
Primarily scammers call from international numbers. As a result, a missed call alert or notification comes on the phone. Seeing that, when the users call, the money is deducted at a higher rate. Even hundreds of rupees are charged per minute. In other words, customers are warned that their money will be gone before they know it.

How to understand that suspicious phone number?
1) Do not pick up the phone number with unknown country code. No more callbacks. India phone number code number is +91.
2) The phone rings for a moment and hangs up.

4) Repeated calls from unknown international numbers.

How to avoid that fraud?
In order to avoid this fraud cycle, experts have forbidden to pick up calls from unknown international numbers. They advise that if a phone number is not preceded by +91, do not pick up calls from it (unless unknown). Having +91 means that it is India number. +91 is the phone number code for India. And the phone number that does not have that code, experts have advised to avoid it. And refused to callback.

What precautions should be taken?
