NDTV’s Report According to, in about 50 years, Russia has finalized preparations to launch their first moon mission. In this sequence, on 11 August, a village in the Far East of Russia will be evacuated. The village is located in the area where the boosters of the rocket are about to fall. The village is being evacuated in view of the safety of people’s life and property.
According to the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos, Russia is going to launch its first Moon Lander Luna-25 (Luna-25) since 1976. It will be departed from the capital Mosko to space from Vostochny Cosmodrome, located in about 5550 km East.
The Luna-25 lander will be launched by Russia with the help of its well-known and tested Soyuz-2 rocket. It is claimed that it will be the first lander to reach the southern pole of the moon. The purpose of Russia’s Moon Mission is to discover water and other materials on the moon. Russia is expected to work on the moon surface for about a year after a successful landing.
It is not yet known when Russia’s moon mission will land on the moon. At the same time, Chandrayaan-3 of the Indian Space Agency has entered the Moon’s orbit. As per the plan, Mission will try to land on the moon on 23 August.
