India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission had achieved success last year. Vikram Lander (Vikram) and Pragyaan Rover (Pragyaan) created history by landing on the surface of the moon. After completion of the mission, Vikram and Pragyan remained on the moon. They will never be able to return to earth. However, Indian Space Agency ISRO is keeping its eye on Vikram-Pragyan. ISRO has captured high-resolution images of Vikram lander and Pragyan rover resting on the lunar surface. These pictures have made Indians giddy.

It is said that these pictures were captured on March 15 this year. Chandra Tungathurthi, an independent researcher, processed the photos. The entire area can be seen in great detail in the picture.

The pictures were captured from a height of 65 kilometers. Due to high resolution, Pragyan Rover can be seen with more clarity. It is noteworthy that Pragyan Rover is the world’s first rover, which walked on the south pole of the Moon. This mission made a soft landing on the south pole of the Moon on 23 August 2023. After the Soviet Union, America and China, India became the fourth country in the world to make a soft landing on the Moon, while it became the first country in the world to land on the Moon’s South Pole.

Vikram lander and Pragyan rover spent time equal to about 14 Earth days on the Moon. After night fell in that part of the moon, both were sent into sleep mode. Then when sunlight came again on the moon, Vikram and Pragyan did not come out of sleep mode.

After the Indian mission, Japan also landed its lander on the moon. This year, an American company became the first private company to land a mission on the moon. Nasa has planned to send humans to the moon again in the future, for which it is preparing the Artemis mission.
