Feathers have been used in Pushpak. When it was released from the helicopter, it returned to the runway on its own. This is a big success for ISRO. Giving information after the successful test flight, ISRO Chief S. Somnath said that the result was absolutely accurate and excellent. Pushpak is going to prove to be a milestone in the reusable rocket segment. Regarding the Pushpak (RLV-TD) mission, ISRO said that the rocket has been successful in returning safely from space. Approach and high speed landing were tested in it.

Pushpak was taken to a height of 4.5 kilometers in the air through Chinook helicopter of the Indian Air Force. It was left 4 kilometers away from the runway. But Pushpak himself returned to his exact place. It came to a halt precisely on the runway, for which it also used its brake parachute and landing gear brakes.
This was the third test flight of Pushpak which was done for its robotic landing in adverse conditions. It is being said that it may take several years to bring Pushpak fully into use. The successful test of Pushpak confirms that the cost of future space missions will be significantly reduced. The rocket can be used again and again, which will reduce the cost to a great extent. Its first experimental flight took place in 2016 from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. It successfully landed on a virtual runway in the Bay of Bengal. After this it was sunk in the sea as per the plan. Its second test was conducted on April 2 last year at Chitradurga Aeronautical Test Range.
