Due to the large length and width of the phone, you may find it uncomfortable to use it with one hand. The smartphone looks strong but compared to other smartphones coming in the budget of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, this handset of Honor brand does not look premium. Fingerprints get easily formed on the glossy plastic back panel and due to the greasiness, the phone may slip from the hand.
Like other Honor smartphones Honor 8C Color gradient has also been used on the back panel. The black and blue gradient is visible on the back panel of the review unit we have. SIM tray is provided on the left side of the phone, users can install two Nano SIM and microSD card slots. On the right side is the lock/power and volume buttons. The loudspeaker and primary microphone are placed at the lower part of the phone, while the secondary microphone and 3.5 mm headphone jack are placed at the upper part.
Micro-USB port has been used in the phone instead of USB Type-C. The fingerprint sensor and face recognition work quickly and accurately. For speed and multitasking, Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 chipset and 4 GB RAM with Adreno 506 GPU for graphics is provided. Asphalt 9 and PUBG can be played smoothly after reducing the graphics settings. Wait for the full review for detailed information about performance.
The dual-SIM Honor 8C will run on EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. EMUI is fast but this phone of Honor brand has many bloatware. Along with Facebook, Messenger, Netflix and Camera 360, first-party applications like HiCare, Huawei Health, Themes, Honor Store and Honor Club will be pre-installed.
