Lawsuit of Google Faces: Big legal action has been taken against Google in Britain. This tech giant has filed a small class action case of about 1 billion pounds in Indian currency. Google Lawsuit has been made that Google has misused online advertising markets and its domination in online search. And due to this step of this tech giant, thousands of companies have suffered huge financial losses.
The case has been filed against Google in the UK Competition Appellate Tribunal. Competition Law Expert Professor Or Brook has filed the case. He has been fighting for thousands of UK companies who have been using Google Ads for 25 years. It has been alleged that Google has signed a contract with all mobile companies so that Chrome and Google Search are kept as default apps on all mobile phones. And that is why no other search engine on Android works well. It has even been learned that Google has signed an agreement to keep Google as a defot search app on their iPhone with money. And as a result, no advertiser other than Google worked on the search engine phone.
Not only that, Google has forced British companies to advertise at a higher price than needed by abusing its exclusive business. Experts believe that this can lead to big question marks about Google’s business model. If the court runs against Google, then Google will have to compensate thousands of companies.
It has also been reported that strict steps and rules will be issued in digital advertising. Anti-Trust investigation or search has already begun in Europe. In Europe and America, the rules are going to be more stringent. In 2021, the Competition and Market Authority of Britain said that Google’s market share in the search advertising market has more than 5 percent. The case was filed against Google on Wednesday and Google is being held accountable in this regard.
However, a Google spokesman said they would have a strong argument against the case. According to them, customers and advertisers use Google because it is helpful to them, they have no other option.
