The Space Agency shared the picture on its social media platforms and wrote that Jinnia has been grown in the vesti facility of the International Space Station. Scientists have been studying plants in space since the 1970s. However, this experiment was started in the year 2015. NASA astronaut Kejel Lindgrain had grown ginnia at the International Space Station.
On this success, NASA wrote that our space garden is not just to show. It explains how plants grow in orbit. Learning from this experiment will help us how the crop is grown outside the earth. This will work in the Moon, Mars and the missions beyond.
NASA’s astronauts have grown many more things in space with success. These include Latus, Tomato and Chile Paper. Many more plants will be seen growing up on ISS in future. This picture has encouraged those who have interesting in science. People are praising this experiment of NASA.
One user wrote, incredible and beautiful. Another user commented that two special things together, space and flowers. Thank you NASA.
