He said, “This mission will increase India’s self-reliance in space technology and promote innovation.” In this mission, samples will be collected from the Moon and analyzed. Recently ISRO had said that the weight capacity of Chandrayaan-4 can be more than the most powerful rocket available with ISRO. For this reason, preparations are being made to launch the mission in two parts. This will be the world’s first space mission, which will be launched in two parts and the spacecraft will be connected in space. If this mission is successful then it will be a major success for ISRO. The objective of this mission is to return samples from the Moon. Only three countries of the world – America, Russia and China have been able to bring samples from the Moon.

Last year, the American space agency NASA had said that America is ready to help India build its space station. America and India plan to send an Indian astronaut to the International Space Station by the end of next year. Along with this, ISRO is considering the possibility of using NASA’s Hypervelocity Impact Test (HVIT) for testing the module micrometeoroid and orbital debris protection shields of the Gaganyaan mission. A lot of preparations are being made for the Gaganyaan mission. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked ISRO to set a target of building an Indian space station by 2035 and landing astronauts on the Moon by 2040.
