Vikram Lander: India’s Chandrayaan-3 mission is proving to be helpful for others. The US space agency NASA has found a new way to trace an objection of an objection on the moon. Vikram Lander of ISRO played an important role in this experiment. Along with this, NASA’s Lunar Reconsian Orbiter (LRO) has also got an accurate location on the moon of Chandrayaan-3 Vikram Lander.

Report According to, NASA’s Lro Spacecraft, circling the Moon orbit, detected the exact location on the moon of Vikram Lander. NASA transmitted and reflected the laser lights between a small retrormifler on the LRO and Vikram lander. This found a new way to find the exact location of a target on the surface of the moon.

NASA’s LRO sent laser waves towards Vikram Lander on 12 December. Then Vikram Lander was 100 km from the LRO spacecraft near Manjinus Crater on the southern pole of the moon. The experiment was successful when the laser light came back from Vikram Lander’s retrormifler. This showed NASA that his technology had worked.

On Friday, ISRO had informed that the laser retrormifler array (LRA) on Vikram lander has started working on the moon as a marker i.e. ‘Fidciary Point’.

Scientists said that there are many benefits of using ‘reverse technology’ on the moon. For example, the exact location of the target can be detected by sending laser waves from a spacraft moving in the moon’s orbit. This can help the lander landing there. Ziaoli Sun, who led the team at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center during the experiment, said that we have shown that we can detect their retrormifler on the surface from the moon’s orbit.

NASA says that the instrument on Vikram lander is durable. He does not need electricity or any maintenance. He can work for decades.
