Chandrayaan-3 (Chandrayaan-3) was not landed on the South Pole of the moon, it is said that a big scientist from China. On August 23, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that due to the skills and hard work of the scientists of India, the country has become the first country to reach the South Pole of the moon. But now a big Chinese scientist has said that India’s Chandrayaan-3 did not land on the South Pole, it was landed in the southern hemisphere of the moon, ie half of the moon which is south.

Ouyang Jiyuan, the lead scientist who was involved in China’s first moon mission, has said that it would be wrong to say that India’s Chandrayaan has landed on the South Poll of the Moon. Scmp According to the report, the scientist said, ‘It was neither on the South Poll, nor in the South Polar region, nor in the Antarctic Polar region. It is landed in the southern hemisphere. ‘ Ouyang is a member of Jiyuan Chinese Academy of Science, and he Science Times It has been said in a statement.

The scientist says that Chandrayaan-3 rover is landed at 69 degrees latitude in the south. This area is definitely in the southern hemisphere of the moon, but not on the pole. While the moon’s Polar region is believed to be between 88.5 and 90 degrees. It has been said that the Earth is bent 23.5 degrees on its axis in the context of the Sun. In this context, the South Pole of the earth is believed to be between 66.5 and 90 degrees. Now since the moon is tilted only 1.5 degrees on its axis, its Polar area is also very small.

At the same time, the European Space Agency says that the landing of Chandrayaan-3 cannot be called on the exact South Poll. Landing on the South Pole is very difficult because it falls in the field of Shackleton Crater. NASA has described the moon’s Polar region between 80 and 90 degrees. In this sense, Chandrayaan-3 has landed outside the Polar region. But this landing has been reported at very high latitude where no country has reached till now.

NASA chief Bill Nelson congratulated India by posting a post on social media platform X on 23 August. In which it was written that the Indian Space Research Organization is very much congratulated for the successful landing on the South Poll of the moon! In such a situation, after the claim of the Chinese scientist, there has been a dispute over this matter.
