Apple: Apple has stopped selling three models of the iPhone. Apple will no longer sell these models (iPhone 14) in EU countries, not worldwide. According to the company, these three models iPhone 14, iPhone Plus and iPhone SE third generation have been removed from the online stores (Apple Store) in most European countries. Apple will no longer sell these phones in these countries. Why did the organization take this decision?

However, Apple said that these phones will no longer be available in offline stores as well as online stores. Apple has been forced to take this tough decision because of a European Union rule that bans the sale of any device with a Lightning connector.

What are the European rules in the UK?

In 2022, the European Union decided that all phones or other gadgets sold in its 27 countries must have USB-C ports. This decision was taken only to reduce electronic waste. Although Apple challenged the decision, the company was later forced to back down. Since then iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone SE 3rd generation phones do not have USB C port for charging. And so the company is forced to stop selling these phones.

Apple has been clearing stock since last week

Apple has started clearing old stock since last week. And for that reason, Apple will no longer sell this phone in stores in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and many other countries. The sale of these three iPhones has also been stopped in Switzerland. Although not part of Europe, Switzerland also has this law. In addition, no one can buy these three phones in Northern Ireland.

The iPhone SE model will have a USB C port

Many are saying that by March next year, Apple will probably launch their SE fourth generation phone with USB-C port. And then the sale of this iPhone will start again in Europe.
