iPhone Software Update: The central government has sent a stern notice to Apple. After iOS 18 update, many users were facing problems. The National Consumer Helpline has received many complaints from customers regarding this issue. A survey (Apple Update) has found that many Apple users are facing problems like call drops and fast battery drain (iPhone Software Update) and have filed complaints about it. And it is in this context that the center took notice to Apple.

What did Union Minister Prahlad Joshi say?

Union Minister Prahlad Joshi informed about sending notice to Apple. He said that the national helpline received many complaints about iPhone performance issues after iOS software updates. After investigating these allegations, a notice has been sent to Apple through the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA), responding to the matter.

Apple was also warned last year

This isn’t the first time Apple has been put on notice. The central government had also warned Apple last year over complaints from customers and users. Users then pointed to two iPhone flaws that could lead to data theft, hacker attacks on the device. Even unauthorized intrusions may occur. Now again the center has sent a notice to the organization based on the complaints of the users.

Users are not happy with Apple’s update

Local Circle conducted a survey last December where 6 out of 10 iPhone users were experiencing call drop issues. There were even network related issues. The iPhone battery also ran out quickly for these customers. And the customers said that this problem was seen only after updating to iOS 18.

This case (Apple Lawsuit) was filed against Apple in September 2021. The prosecution of this case began in February 2021. However, the case was dismissed due to lack of sufficient evidence. After that, a new case was filed. Many complained that Apple was recording their conversations, even when they accidentally activated the voice assistant Siri.
