Amazon Prime Membership: If you have Amazon Prime membership or Amazon Prime Video subscription then this news is for you. Next year there may be several changes regarding subscriptions. Amazon is about to make some big changes to its Prime Video streaming device rules.
Now Prime members can log in to up to 5 devices without any device type restrictions (Amazon Prime). However, this rule is going to change in the next few weeks. Then users will also have some restrictions regarding device type.
What rules are changing from January 2025
Amazon’s help page states that starting in January 2025, Amazon Prime Video will have a device type limit. It is stated that from a given day users can log in maximum of 5 devices out of which 2 TVs can be maximum. At the same time you can move or replace up to 2 existing devices in any 30 day period.
From January 2025 onwards, if a user wants to stream Amazon Prime Video content on more than two TVs simultaneously, he will have to have another Amazon Prime account. Customers can stream a total of 5 devices simultaneously. Among these 5 devices can be mobile, laptop or TV.
Amazon is sending emails to customers
Amazon gradually informs customers of changes to terms via email. The email sent to customers says thank you for being a Prime member and for providing you with entertainment. As part of Prime membership, you and your family can watch Prime Video content on up to 5 devices. And Amazon Prime has included two TVs as part of this entitlement. And the company has updated the terms accordingly.
