The move is known as a part of partnership with Airtel’s Perplexity. Perplexity is actually an AI -powered search and anestone engine. In the web search, the Perplexity provides a conversative method, which not only enroll users in search results, but also provide directly and research response. This platform is designed to provide context rich information in real time to handle follow -up questions. Although the basic version of the perpex is kept free for all, there is a subscription for the Pro or Premium version. There is a Pro version for those who rely on AI for deep research in more details.
Customers will get daily unlimited search, access to advanced AI models like GPT 4.1 and Claud through the Perplexity Pro, alternatives to upload files for analysis, image creating elements, etc. Airtel customers will get all these benefits completely, but this benefit will be up to 5 years. This is the first AI platform signed with an Indian telecom operator. Airtel has said that this service will be given completely free of customers. In other countries, the Perplexity Company T-Mobile has been part of the softbank company, but the first agreement with Airtel in India.
