Aditya L1 Mission: India’s first solar mission Aditya L-1 (Aditya L1) is now on the way to the Sun. After about 120 days after traveling 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, the Aditya Spacekraft will reach the L1 point called Lagrange point. The distance that Aditya has traveled so far in his 3-day stop is something like this- the minimum distance from the earth of Aditya is 282 km and the maximum distance is 40 thousand 225 km. Indian Space Agency ‘ISRO’ has shared this information.

The space agency said on Tuesday that the second process related to the Earth’s orbit of ‘Aditya El1’ was successfully completed in the early hours of Tuesday. The process was carried out from Bangalore -based ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC).

In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, ISRO said that its Mauritius, Bangalore and Port Blair centers monitored Aditya. Now the orbit in which the Spacraft is, is about 282 km from the Earth and the farthest is 40 thousand 225 kilometers.

ISRO also informed that a new change in the class of ‘Aditya L1’ will be made on 10 September 2023 at around 2.30 pm. ‘Aditya El1’ is the country’s first space based observator. It will stay in the Sun-Earth Lagrangeian point (L-1), about 1.5 million kilometers from the Earth and will study the outer environment of the Sun.

On the same month, ‘Aditya El1’ was successfully launched from the second launch pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. The first change in the orbit of the satellite was made on 3 September. It is yet to undergo many processes. The big turning point for the mission will have to be transported close to the Sun. However, the L1 point at which it will go is only 1 percent of the total distance of Sun and Earth.
