Intex Aqua Ace The design of Sony’s product to a great extent matches a little Apple’s look. Metallic rim has been used on the edge of the phone. On taking the handset in the hands for the first time, it realized that it was light. Its entire body is of plastic. However, this handset does not give a feeling of completion from anywhere.
The white and gold variants found for the review are fine in appearance, but not the one who attracts attention.
Micro-USB port is ranked at the top. There is a 3.5 mm audio socket next to it. It seems that two speakers grills are made at the bottom of the handset, although only one of these speakers. The second design is the element. Power and volume button is on the right side, although they are slightly below our choice. On this side, microSD card tray has also been given place. At the same time, there is another tray on the left side for two micro-SIM cards.
The front and back panels are built with the help of Gorilla Glass 3. We were disappointed with the Metallic Rim built on the edge of the handset, because within a day or two, scratch marks began to be visible within a day or two.
We would suggest that you use the flip cover coming with this handset, I wish it would be a little more beautiful.
Specification
Intex has used the latest 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT 6735 processor. The company promoted loudly that the handset is equipped with 3 GB of RAM which is revolutionary for this price range. The inbuilt storage is 16 GB of which 10 GB is available for the user. The good thing is that it has support for microSD cards up to 128 GB. It comes with USB-OTG feature.
Intex has used an AMOLED panel of 720×1280 pixels for some reason which will not be considered spectacular for a 5 -inch screen in this price range. The screen is slightly dull and it becomes very difficult to read anything on it in sunlight. You will immediately realize that its screen is weak with expectation.
Support is available for LTE (Band 40). Other common connectivity features are also present in the handset. The rear camera has a 13 -megapixel sensor and the front camera is 5 megapixels. The battery is 2300 mAh.
Aqua Ace smartphone comes with Android 5.1 and the company has not customized it much. The default icon is very bad in appearance. We had trouble using the custom keyboard given in it. We immediately disabled it.
Performance
We have already said that we did not like the screen of Intex Aqua Ace. It is suitable for most of the work, but we have seen a better screen at this price. We had trouble due to the heat of the phone. This was also happening when no more difficult task was being done on the device. Many times it became difficult to keep the handset in the hands. One strange thing happened that this phone had difficulty in finding 4G networks in many areas while other phones were easily doing so.
We found that there was some difficulty in playing 720 pixels video files. 1080 pixels video files then move with a lot of shortcomings. The performance of the inbuilt speaker was very bad, the voice was not clear even at the low volume level. The headphones that come with the handset are fine for voice calls but are not suitable for music at all. The results of the benchmark test were good.
The camera disappointed the most. The photos taken in the daylight showed lack of focus on most occasions. The details disappeared completely and there was a strange artificiality in every picture. Closeup shot also points to the poor performance of the camera. The pictures taken indoors were worse.
On the other hand, we were the most surprised by the performance of the battery. In the video loop test, the battery lasted 10 hours and 14 minutes. Given the capacity of the battery, we were expecting a bad result.
Our decision
Intex has promoted loudly that this handset has a 3 GB of RAM which is a revolutionary change for this price handset. If you say honestly, it doesn’t matter. We would like to have a better display and build quality in the handset. We had doubts about the battery life of the phone, but the performance shocked us.
Keeping all the things in mind, we believe that Intex has so far failed to find the right formula. In this price or less, there are much better phones available in the market. Among them with big display 3 notes of levo (Review), Xiaomi Mi 4i (Review) and Motorola Moto G (Jane 3) (Review).
