The first question that came to our mind regarding Coolpad Mega 3 was whether there is a demand among users for a smartphone with three SIMs? Speaking at the event, a Coolpad spokesperson said on the strategy of providing this feature that mobile operators are now presenting new offers to customers every month. And with devices like the Coolpad Mega 3, users will be able to meet all their needs in a single phone. Along with this, Coolpad India CEO Syed Tajuddin said that with Coolpad Mega 3, users will be able to use different operators for better connectivity.

It is worth noting that Coolpad Mega 3 is not the only smartphone that supports three SIMs. Earlier, Acer Liquid X2 and LG Optimus L11 II Tri have also been launched with this feature. But these phones have not been launched in India yet.
It will be interesting to see how customers like Coolpad Mega 3 and its three-SIM feature. Because when it comes to choosing an operator for voice calls and messages, there is confusion even in dual SIM devices. On the other hand, dual SIM is being provided as an essential feature in most of the Android smartphones for the last several years. The special thing is that apart from three SIM card slots, Coolpad Mega 3 also has a microSD card slot. Compared to smartphones that come with hybrid SIM slots (two SIM cards or one SIM card and one microSD card slot), Coolpad has definitely tried to do something different with this feature.

Apart from this unique feature, the Coolpad Mega 3 smartphone follows a typical phone design. This phone has a 5.5 inch HD (720×1080 pixels) IPS display whose density is 269 ppi. The screen of the Coolpad Mega 3 is clearly usable even in daylight and text looks crisp. We found the display dull even with maximum brightness but viewing angles were good. With a thickness of 8.3 millimeters, the Coolpad Mega 3 is not the thinnest phone ever. And with a weight of 170 grams, we found it a bit heavy. The Coolpad Mega 3 is easy to operate with one hand and we were able to move the phone from top to bottom with just our thumb.
The phone has a volume rocker button on the right side while the power button is provided on the left side. The buttons work well. The rear of the Coolpad Mega 3 is made of plastic and when removed, the battery, three SIM slots and a microSD card slot can be seen.
Coolpad Mega 3 runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on which the company’s CoolEye skin has been given. There is no app drawer in the UI which means all the app icons will be found on the homescreen. The unit of Coolpad Mega 3 we received did not come pre-loaded with too many games. This phone has a 3050 mAh battery and it supports 4G VoLTE, which means that Reliance Jio network will work on it.

In the time we spent with Coolpad Mega 3, we found that the touch response on the phone is good and multitasking can also be done fast. This phone has 1.25 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and 2 GB RAM. The Mega 3 smartphone has 16 GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 64 GB via microSD card.
Coolpad Mega 3 has 8 megapixel rear and front camera. Both cameras come with aperture F/2.2. We found the Mega 3’s camera app to be fast and launch without any lag. We found the photos taken in daylight to be excellent. The color production was good but the detailing was lacking. Photos taken from the front camera of Coolpad Mega 3 were also fine. Stay with us for a detailed review of this smartphone.

Now let’s talk about Coolpad Note 3S. The design of this smartphone is also similar to Coolpad Note 3. The whole look is simple and the front is occupied by the display. There is a fingerprint sensor on the rear. With a thickness of 8.6 mm, the Coolpad Note 3S is thinner than its previous smartphone which was 9.3 mm thick. But it is heavier than the Coolpad Note 3 which weighs 155 grams and weighs 167 grams.
The Coolpad Note 3S has the same 5.5-inch HD (720×1080 pixels) IPS display as the Note 3. However, the company has also provided 2.5D glass in the new Note 3S. The display is bright and color reproduction is also good. Coolpad Note 3S runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with CoolUA 8.0 skin on top. This skin looks well customized and many new icon sets are seen in it.

Coolpad Note 3S has a 13-megapixel rear camera with aperture F/2.2. Whereas a 5 megapixel fixed focus front camera with aperture F/2.2 has been provided. It is worth noting that the same camera specifications were given in Coolpad Note 3. The camera app on the Coolpad Note 3S is easy to operate and offers multiple options with a single tap. Photo, Video, Beauty, Pro and Night modes are provided in the camera app. Photos taken in daylight looked nice and bright. However, when we zoomed in, we noticed noise at the edges of the images. Selfies taken from the front camera of Coolpad Note 3S are fantastic.
Coolpad Note 3S has an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor. The phone has 3 GB RAM. We saw that apps launch fast in the phone and touch also gives good response. The Note 3S smartphone has 32 GB inbuilt storage and it can be expanded up to 32 GB via microSD card.
To power the Coolpad Note 3S, a 2500 mAh battery has been provided. The company claims that it will provide standby time of up to 200 hours. However, we were disappointed with the decision to reduce battery capacity on the Note 3S. Whereas Coolpad Note 3 had a larger battery of 3000 mAh.
