Who does not know Santa Claus? But, does anyone know, who was actually this ‘Santa Claus’? What did he look like? This is the first time that man’s face was revealed! His ‘real’ face was brought forward for the first time in the history of nearly 1,700 years! Behind which is the tireless research of scientists and the wonders of modern technology!
According to various media reports, Saint Nicholas of Myra, who is claimed to be the apparition of Santa Claus, collects all the necessary information or data from the skull of the person who is claimed to have appeared in the ‘forensic method’ of Santa Claus. ‘The image of the face is created.
Who is this Saint Nicholas of Myra?
He was a Christian saint. According to information, he loved to give gifts to people. Based on him, the Dutch or Dutch folklore character ‘Sinterklaas’ came later. Who later became the beloved ‘Santa Claus’ all over the world! In fact, the character of Santa Claus has become synonymous with British ‘Father Christmas’ culture.
But, despite being loved all over the world, the real face of Santa Claus has not been seen till now. It is being claimed that modern science and research have filled that gap.
This study was led by Cicero Moraes. He told the Mirror that the face they were able to create was that of a hermit, whose facial structure had both ‘firmness and serenity’.
Most strikingly, this face bears a striking resemblance to the face of the subject in the 1823 poem ‘A Visit from St. Nicholas’.
How was this face reconstructed?
According to Cicero, they used the database collected by Luigi Martino in 1950. Primarily based on this data or information a 3D face is created.
In this context, Cicero said, ‘First we made a 3D image. A profile of that face is then constructed through strategic projection. For this work we use anatomical deformation technique….’
‘…it is a technology, through which the virtual image can be matched as closely as possible with the face of the real person. In the end, the face we created is actually a combination of all the information and technology we have.’
