WhatsApp: WhatsApp service is going to stop on several iPhones. This rule will be effective from next year i.e. 2025. WhatsApp Features tracker WABetaInfo has revealed this information. The WhatsApp messaging app will no longer work on iPhones running the iPhone 15 or older operating systems. iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 5S are going to be in this list. WhatsApp will work normally on newer iPhone models that run iOS versions higher than iPhone 15. Currently iOS 12 is the minimum benchmark. That is, if the version of iOS less than iOS 12 is supported, WhatsApp will no longer work on that phone. But this benchmark is going to be iOS 15.1 from May 5, 2025. Incidentally, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 5S were launched almost a decade ago.

But now there is nothing to worry about. Because iPhone users still have 5 months to upgrade the iOS version. The latest iOS version is iOS 18.1. If your iPhone does not support this iOS version, you can update to any iOS version above iOS 15. But if your iPhone doesn’t have the facility to update iOS, then if you want to use WhatsApp, you have no choice but to buy a new iPhone.

New features are coming to WhatsApp for the convenience of users

A new feature has started rolling out on WhatsApp. This new feature of WhatsApp is called ‘Message Draft’ (WhatsApp Message Drafts). Many times we write a message in a chatbox on WhatsApp by mistake and exit the chatbox. In such a case, the ‘Message Draft’ feature has been launched so that the message written by the user is not deleted. WhatsApp is going to launch this essential feature for all users in both versions, iOS and Android. As the roll out begins, not all users may receive the service at first. But in few days all users will get the benefit of this feature. This feature is also applicable through WhatsApp web. This new feature will be effective not only in private chatbox, but also in group chats of WhatsApp. Many WhatsApp users have already started taking advantage of this feature.
